Elland-based Core Facility Services has been confirmed as a Gold Sponsor for The Message Trust’s Cross Brazil Cycle Challenge, an ambitious charity bike ride spanning 1,000km across Brazil in June 2025.
From 19 June to 1 July 2025, a group of cyclists will tackle a breathtaking yet gruelling route from Curitiba to Rio de Janeiro, riding through mountainous terrain, national parks, and coastal towns. The journey will conclude in iconic fashion as riders join thousands of others in the L’Étape Rio by Tour de France Sportif, cycling past world-famous landmarks including Christ the Redeemer and Copacabana Beach.
The challenge aims to raise £200,000 to support The Message Trust’s work with vulnerable and underserved communities around the UK and the world.
Core Facility Services provides services that help businesses and charities save time and manage costs more efficiently, including energy and waste consultancy, IT managed services and IT infrastructure. The company has a strong commitment to sustainability and social impact, working closely with organisations like The Message Trust to align business with purpose.
“We’re proud to support The Message Trust as a corporate Gold Sponsor of this incredible challenge,” said Gareth Henderson, Executive Director of Core Facility Services.
“Their work transforming lives and reaching people in desperate need is nothing short of inspiring. We’ve partnered with The Message Trust on energy and waste services for some time, and this felt like a natural and meaningful way to deepen that partnership while supporting a global cause.”
“We’re incredibly grateful to Core Facility Services for stepping up as a Gold Sponsor,” said Andy Hawthorne, Global CEO and Founder of The Message Trust.
“Their support helps make this monumental event possible and brings us closer to our £200,000 target. Together, we’ll be able to continue delivering life-changing work in some of the most deprived areas across the globe.”
