A local firm that specialises in helping fellow businesses keep their costs low has expanded into new offices, becoming one of the first tenants at the recently launched Orchard House Business Centre in Elland.
Core has been working with firms and charities in Calderdale for over 15 years to help them manage their energy, waste and IT costs.
It has become one of the most recognisable brands in Halifax since becoming the principal sponsor of Halifax Town at the start of last season.
Core works closely with Overgate Hospice, Chadwick Lawrence, Happy Days, Smartmove and Diamonds Gymnastics Club, to name but a few.
Colette Watts, Managing Director of Core, said the move coincided with plans to expand the Core team both in Elland and at Lindley’s Independence House Business Centre, with 30 new jobs set to be created this autumn across the two sites.
“This is an exciting time for Core and we’re delighted to be expanding our presence in Calderdale,”she said.
“Our business is built around making sure local businesses have the most cost effective solutions for all their essential services by finding the best and most sustainable options for energy and waste management, cleaning solutions and fully managed IT services,” she said.
“In the current climate we all need to be keeping an eye on our bills and our telephone audits are designed to make sure no firm is paying more than they should.”
The new business centre is being managed by Walker Singleton who also manage Independence House.
Ross Thornton at Walker Singleton said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Core stretching back many years and are delighted to welcome such a well-known and established local firm to Orchard House.
“This is a beautiful building with period features and high specification office facilities which is already attracting a lot of interest from companies in Calderdale and the surrounding area who are keen to be part of a vibrant business community.”
