Core Gears Up as Sponsor of The Big Ride Home 2025

Core Facility Services has been announced as a sponsor of this year’s Big Ride Home, the annual charity cycle ride in support of Happy Days, a Halifax-based charity supporting people experiencing homelessness and crisis.

Now in its fourth year, the Big Ride Home 2025 – Pedal the Peaks is set to take place from 12th to 14th June, with cyclists tackling a challenging yet scenic 220-mile route from Calderdale to the Peak District and back. Over three days, riders will journey through stunning landscapes, supported by a full crew and overnight accommodation, all in aid of a life-changing cause.

Core Facility Services provides services that helps businesses manage time and costs more efficiently, including energy and waste consultancy, IT managed services and infrastructure planning, sustainability, compliance and maintenance.  Based in Elland, the company has a long history of supporting local initiatives and making a positive impact in the Calderdale community.

“We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the Big Ride Home 2025,” said Colette Watts, Managing Director at Core Facility Services.

“Happy Days is a cause that’s close to our hearts. Their work supporting people facing homelessness and crisis in Calderdale is vital, and we’re honoured to back them again this year—especially for an event that brings our community together in such a powerful and positive way.”

Happy Days CEO Ellen Boothe added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Core Facility Services for their continued support. The Big Ride Home has become a highlight of our fundraising calendar, and the funds raised go directly towards helping those most in need—providing shelter, support, and a second chance. With Core’s backing, we’re looking forward to making this year’s ride the biggest and best yet.”
