Core Facility Services has named local homeless charity Happy Days as one of the charities that will benefit from its role as this season’s principal sponsor of FC Halifax Town.
Happy Days will receive a donation from the FA as Core’s nominated charity and will also become FCHT’s Charity of the Year.
Core managing director Colette Watts said: “Happy Days makes a real and sustainable difference to people in our community who are experiencing poverty, addiction and the effects of a chaotic lifestyle, providing hope and support when they need it most.
“We were overwhelmed by the support shown by FCHT fans last season when we fundraised for Happy Days during the televised match against Ebbsfleet Utd and we will be building on that throughout the coming year,” she said.
Dave Fawcett of Happy Days said: ““We can’t thank Core and FCHT enough for this backing and the money raised will help us maintain and expand our services to help more people who desperately need our support.
“Every penny will help us to provide long term, sustainable support to move people from homelessness towards independence.”
David Bosomworth of FCHT said: “Our club is at the heart of the local community and we are really pleased to be able to support Happy Days and the important work it does in our area.
“As well as fundraising, we will be using match days to raise awareness of Happy Days as we go through the season.”
