Over the past week our chairman Gareth Henderson has been in Cambodia and Vietnam as part of a team of cyclists covering 385 gruelling miles in extreme heat and humidity to raise money for anti-slavery charity Hope for Justice.
He set an ambitious personal fundraising target of £10,000 and thanks to the incredible support he has received from friends, family, colleagues, clients and fellow businesses his final total now stands at over £14K.
The money raised will be used to support Hope for Justice’s work to eliminate modern slavery, rescue victims of exploitation and give them hope.
The trip was also an opportunity to see first hand some of the projects run by Hope for Justice in Asia.
Modern slavery is not just happening overseas. It is a problem right here in the UK. Hope for Justice’s initiative Slave-Free Alliance is working to eliminate it from the supply chain by raising awareness and educating businesses to help them spot the signs of human trafficking and exploitation.
