Calderdale’s Overgate Hospice has been named as the second charity to benefit from Core Facility Services’s sponsorship of FC Halifax Town this season.
The hospice provides a vital service for patients, families and carers across Calderdale, providing much needed support, respite and care. Facilities include an inpatient unit and day centre along with social work and counselling.
Core has a longstanding relationship with Overgate and provides the charity and its shops with energy, waste, cleaning and compliance services to keep its running costs to a minimum so that as much budget as possible can go directly to patient care.
Colette Watts of Core Facility Services said: “We take every opportunity we can to champion the incredible service Overgate Hospice provides in our community, supporting patients and families through some of their most difficult times.
“We’re pleased to be able to put our sponsorship to good use by naming them as one of our nominated charities, which will provide them with a donation from the FA to support their work.”
Faye Henderson of Overgate Hospice said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Core and FCHT for recognising us in this way.
“Without the backing of local people, organisations and businesses we would not be able to do what we do and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.
“We wish FCHT a fantastic season and look forward to following the success of our local team.”
