As Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice celebrates its 10th anniversary, Core is proud to have supported the charity from the start, both as a corporate fundraising partner and as manager of its energy, waste and IT.
“Core are enthusiastic supporters of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice as well as business partners. They understand our ethos and care about our objectives which means the work they carry out for us goes far beyond just doing a good job.”
Luen Thompson, Chief Executive of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice
A lasting partnership
Core has always been mindful of the need to keep the charity’s overheads to a minimum, so that as much money as possible can go directly to frontline services.
As Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice has grown, we have kept an eye on their needs to make sure they are always getting the best value for money. In the early days, when the charity was preparing to open Russell House, this meant taking into account the fact that demand for gas and electricity would quickly rise with the opening of the building and as the team began to deliver care and support to children and families within the hospice. We looked carefully at the tariffs and usage rates on offer from each supplier to make absolutely certain that the charity would not end up paying large penalties for exceeding agreed usage limits.
Since then we have helped the charity navigate shop openings, floods and expansion. We are delighted to have been able to minimise the amount of their budget that is spent on energy, waste and IT services and to work with them to develop strategies to manage these overheads.
Core values lasting partnerships with local businesses, charities and community groups. We partner with good causes where we feel we can make a tangible difference and we enjoy a particularly strong relationship with Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. We are proud to have been a founder member of the 99ers and most recently to have become a founding Platinum Partner.
