Green Light for Stadium Recycling Project

Kirklees Stadium Development Limited has agreed a 12 month deal with one of its key sponsors, Core Facility Management, to boost recycling at the John Smith’s Stadium as part of a longer term sustainability plan.

Core will be responsible for managing green waste services and cardboard recycling to support the stadium’s Reduce, Reuse and Recycle goals.

Gareth Davies, managing director of KSDL, said: “The stadium has enjoyed a close relationship with Core for some time and we have found them to be knowledgeable, supportive and easy to deal with, making them the ideal partners for this project.

“Sustainability is very high on our agenda and it feels good to be making big strides in the right direction.”

Rebecca Hextall of Core said: “A well planned waste and sustainability strategy will help organisations save money, reduce risks and enhance their reputation and above all it will reduce the impact they have on the environment and on climate change. “KSDL has a really positive approach to reducing waste and maximising recycling opportunities and we are looking forward to helping them achieve their goals over the coming year.”
